Aeries SIS Query

Run this query in Aeries, then use Print → Export to Excel:

Columns returned: Course Name (CN), Course ID (CO), CSU Req (E1), UC Req (U1), Status Tag (TG)

Infinite Campus Ad Hoc Export

Build and run this query in IC, then export to CSV:

1. Select Your Fields

1. Go to Ad Hoc Reporting › Filter Designer
2. Click New and select Query Wizard
3. Choose Course as the Data Object
4. Expand the Course folder and add these fields in order:
   courseInfo.courseNumber courseInfo.courseName customCourse.ucUSCCourse courseInfo.active courseInfo.level

2. Set Up Filters

1. For courseInfo.active — set Operator to =, Value to TRUE
2. For courseInfo.level — set Operator to =, Value to SEC

3. Format the Output File

1. On the output file/report formatting step, deselect courseInfo.level so it is used only as a filter.
2. Keep courseInfo.courseNumber, courseInfo.courseName, customCourse.ucUSCCourse, and courseInfo.active selected.

4. Export the Data

1. Click Save and name it (e.g. "Active Course Catalog - All")
2. Go to Ad Hoc Reporting › Data Export
3. Select your saved query, choose CSV as the export format, and click Export

School Pathways Report Builder

Build and run this report in School Pathways, then export to Excel or CSV:

1. Open Report Builder

1. Log in and navigate to the Reports tab at the top
2. Select Create A Report (sometimes labeled "Custom Report Builder")

2. Select the Course Table

1. Under "Start With" or "Table Selection", choose Course Table
2. Select Create a Report
3. Note: Do not select the Student table — it only shows courses with enrolled students

3. Choose Your Columns

1. Add these fields in order:
   Course Code Course Name UC A-G Code Active

4. Apply Filters

1. For Active — set restriction to True
2. For UC A-G Code — do not adjust (returns all courses regardless of A-G status)
3. For School Year — set to current academic year (e.g. 2025–2026)
4. Hit Next

5. Select Options

1. Under the Field Arrangements section, move Active to the bottom of the field list

6. Export the Data

1. Click Continue or Okay, then click Display Results
2. When the list appears, click the Excel or CSV icon (top right of the data grid)

Q Course Catalog Export

Build a course-level report in Q, then export it to Excel or CSV. Menu and field labels can vary by district permissions and Q version.

1. Open Q Reporting

1. Open Q Reporting, then select Data Designer or your district's Custom Report Writer.
2. Create a new report and choose the Course, Course Catalog, or Course Master data set—not a student schedule or enrollment data set.

2. Add Course Fields

1. Add the available equivalent of each field below. Keep the first three in the export:
   Course Number / Course ID / Course Code Course Name / Course Title UC/CSU A-G Area / UC Approved Active / Status School Year / Grade Level
2. If Q offers both an approval flag and an A-G area, include the A-G area; a letter from A through G lets the tool identify category mismatches.

3. Filter the Course Catalog

1. Limit the report to the current academic year and active secondary courses (grades 9–12 or your district's secondary level).
2. Do not filter to approved courses only—the comparison also needs non-A-G courses.
3. Return one row per course. If the report repeats courses by section or school, use Q's distinct/grouping option when available.

4. Run and Export

1. Save and run the report. If it runs through Report Server, open the completed result from the Report Queue.
2. Export the tabular result as Excel (.xlsx) or CSV with column headings, then upload it below.
